Founded in 2000, Royal Vegas is one of the longest-running online casinos in the industry. The casino has a strong and loyal fanbase, supported by its reliability and cool games. The casino accepts players from several different countries and offers plenty of different languages as well. Since its launch, Royal Vegas has gone on to become hugely successful and popular, and I’m going to explore their site now to find out if they are as good as I’ve heard.
Bonuses and Promotions at Royal Vegas
So, the Welcome Bonus is decent enough here; players get bonus spread over their first three deposits, which is a great way of making it last longer. The x40 wagering requirements are a little higher than average, and, there’s no point in trying to use anything besides slots to play through as table games count for almost nothing. Some of the latest bonuses are great though, like the Safari Heat bonus, and the Wild Wins promotion. Royal Vegas also has a Loyalty Rewards Programme that allows players to earn points when playing. The advantage here is that it can move you up to different membership levels which unlock new benefits.
Remember, as with all of the bonuses and promotions listed on this site they are correct at the time of publishing and come with their own terms and conditions. We are not responsible if the bonuses or promotions change
There is an impressive array of games on offer at Royal Vegas. They have obviously thought about what players are looking for. And they’ve tried to cater for as many people as possible, and I like that about them. So, there are over 300 slots to choose from, as well as 50+ table games, and 25 Video Poker variants. Check out the featured progressive slots like Emoti Coins and Jurassic Park. I also developed quite the love for European Blackjack Gold. There are also plenty of Live Casino games to choose from as well.
But, it’s not just about the slots and table games, oh no! There are also 31 casual games that include keno and bingo games. There is also a section providing 20 scratchcard games, so the selection here is perfect for those who might not be avid gamblers in terms of slots and table games. What makes the game selection here much better than other casinos is that they have accounted for those who are novices, and those who may want something a little more original. And for this reason, they get a two thumbs up from me!
Royal Vegas don’t do things by halves, and they make sure that only the best will suffice for their players. That’s why they have linked up with world class software providers such as Microgaming, Evolution Gaming, and Spin3. You can play these games through downloadable desktop software, or by selecting a Flash platform to play it on your browser.
Winnings & Payouts
There are some wonderful success stories at Royal Vegas, and, I found out about them by checking out the Getting Started tab. There’s a Winners section under it, and, by clicking on that, I was taken to a page showcasing some of the great wins at this casino. There is a top winners section showing some of the biggest recent wins in the casino’s history, like a €44,000 win. You can also see some of the biggest progressive wins, with some reaching close to €200,000. Heading to the progressive slots tab also shows some of the big jackpots available. For instance, Mega Moolah currently has a jackpot of over €3.5 million.
It’s also refreshing to me to see a casino displaying their banking options all in one easy-to-find area of the site. One thing is certain, you can guarantee safety and security with Royal Vegas. They use digital encryption technology, as well as the classic methods like Neteller and Skrill. They have a 24-hour window on all wins, and that is the industry standard for all great casinos. The minimum withdrawal here is €50, and there is no maximum withdrawal.
Royal Vegas Customer Service
There are two ways of accessing the customer service options here. Royal Vegas has a Contact tab at the top of the page, and, there is a speech bubble at the bottom you can click that takes you straight to the Live Chat. The Contact tab is great because it provides many more options for getting in touch than I’ve seen before. We get presented with Live Chat, telephone, and email, as normal. But, there are also Skype, iMessage, and WhatsApp options as well! I generally like to use the Live Chat, but I like the fact that I have so much choice. As for the Live Chat, it can sometimes run a little slow and take a while to connect to an advisor. I also found the representatives took a while to respond so this could be improved.
Royal Vegas Mobile Casino
An impressive mobile setup is part of the ethos of Royal Vegas. They have clearly thought about what players look for from a mobile casino. And, no matter what sort of smartphone you have, you’ll be able to play their mobile casino. You can play through the browser, or download the app – I tried both and much prefer the app. Over 1.2 million mobile users are expected by 2020, and it’s been great to join the ranks. The selection of games is top notch, and the casino actually, weirdly, looks a little better scaled down, I think.
Okay, I can see what they’ve tried to do here, but, for me, it’s a little too much. It’s kind of over the top and feels like there’s just too much stuff going on. I’m all for using colour and making the site interesting, but I think Royal Vegas has gone a little overboard. There is far too much in terms of colours, graphics, and information at the bottom. They could do more to make their site more user-friendly because they have the basics, it’s just a little overwhelming to look at.
The top banner is fine for locating things, but I do think they could have a little more variety there. The graphic for the Welcome Bonus is far too ‘in your face’ and needs to be stripped back more. I like the table for the different games, they are easy to find and look great. The tiles displaying the games are fine, but the information at the bottom seems like a little too much. I don’t know, I’m sure there are casinos much similar to this sort of layout that I’ve been fine with, but this one just bothers me.
There are a few issues, like a clumsy homepage, hit or miss Live Chat, and poor playthrough percentages for table games. However, these are counteracted by a more unique offering of games, loads of contact options, and a great loyalty programme. Historically the casino has been poor at dealing with complaints, but, since joining the Fortune Lounge Group, they have bucked their ideas up.
Overall, this is an impressive casino in a lot of ways, but I feel there are too many little gripes or issues to give it the very highest of ratings. I would still recommend it though, especially for mid-level players looking for a bit of change.
